Los contextos de la investigación, la educación superior y el nuevo valor del conocimiento en América Latina

Abstract

This article analyzes the relevance of the professional and scientifical contexts in the study and research systems in Latin America. The international situation in the framework of the present scientific and technological revolution and the new value of knowledge is studied, as well as its impact on the region and the need to understand the turn in orden to comprehend the crisis of higher education and the solutions proposed. The need to foster an endogeneous human development as the axis of a democratic and national building, as well as relationships based on equality and freedom with the rest of the world, is also analyzed.
