This article studies the main technical, financial, work and production problems which affected the quicksilver mining explotation in Huancavelica in the first decades of the 18th Century. It is also studied the valuable initiatives developed by the Governor and Superintendent of the Mine, the Marquis of Casa Concha, for the application of the Royal orders aimed at the reformation of the same.
