The 1898 Hispanic-American War and the Manila Siege are events of great importance both for Spanish, Philippinean and Northamerican History. It is the aim of this article to make known unpublished sources («Diario» and «Breve Relacion») belonging to the Barcelona documentation legate gathered by the Jesuits (A.H.P.A.) with regard to the history of Philippines. The author of the same was an anonimous and shredwed Jesuit who throught the analysis of the said and other sources has been identified as Father Miguel Saderra y Mata.
