¿Qué hacer con el indio? Un análisis de las obras de Franz Tamayo y Alcides Arguedas

This article examines the solutions proposed in the works of Alcides Arguedasd Sick People and Race of Bronze, and of Franz Tamayo Creation of the National Pedagogy, regarding the problems of the indigenous population, and the relations which exists between Indians and mixed-bloods in electoral affairs. Both aspects requiere at the same time a discussion of the conversion oí Bolivia into a modero nation-State and of the hidden rivalries within the elite for control of political power at the beginning of the twentieth century.
