Analyzes the intellectual life of Rafael Montoro, the Cuban politician who defended Cuban autonomy, during his stay in Madrid in the early years of the Restoration. Focuses on his participation in two of the principal publications of that period, Revista Europea and Revista Contemporánea, and on his constant presence in the debates held in the Ateneo in Madrid.
