Supervivencias actuales del Baile de la Conquista en Guatemala

Proceden estos bailes de las representaciones teatrales que los misioneros introdujeron en los pueblos de indios para explicar, por medio del baile y un argumento, el proceso de la Conquista. Aún perviven en Guatemala, recogiéndose aquí material de información oral de las danzas realizadas en los últimos años, en cumunidades cakchiquel, tzutuhil y quiché.
