Las fronteras "bárbaras" en los virreinatos de Nueva España y Perú. (Las tierras del norte de México y oriente del Tucumán en el siglo XVIII)

Estudio comparado de la ocupación territorial en zonas marginales, que quedaron fronteras con indios de gran agresividad y reacios a la urbanización: norte de Nueva España y el Tucumán rioplatense guardan estos (y muchos otros) rasgos comunes, pero también singularidades, que son destacados a través de una tipología de la Frontera: indígena, económica (minas en México, ganadería en Tucumán), misionera y militar; cuyos alcances -matizados con pormenor- se ofrecen para cada una de aquellas regiones periféricas.
