The author attempts to explain and analyce the relationship between the Argentine anarchists' actions and mobilizations and the country's formal political system, which in 1912 included universal suffrage. His main hypotesis is that the anarchists' self-alienation from the formal political struggle caused to a large extent the rapid decline of their movement.
