The analysis of the Francisco Hernández's works, the first who knew the New World's Nature, is very interesting to undestand thc studies of the European naturalists that were written during the nineteeth century. The settlement of Francisco Hernández in Nueva España bed him to reconsider his ideas about the Nature and the «Natural History».
