Focus and Scope

Revista de Indias is a forum for debate on the history of the Americas for a specialized audience. Its objective is to publish original articles that, in addition to contributing to the knowledge of America, encourage debate among researchers and reflect the historiographical currents of the moment. Its themes are open to social, cultural, political and economic aspects, covering chronologically the pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary periods. The journal is published in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.

Founded in 1940, it became available online in 2007, maintaining its print edition until 2024. Since then, it has become an electronic-only publication offered in PDF, HTML and XML-JATS formats.
