Abstract

While Spain and other European and American countries celebrated the IV Centenario del Descubrimiento de América in 1892, the population at the northern part of México knew about the last apache incursion in Mexican territory and the rebelion of the neighbours of the Temochic little town. Both events will be used to analyze the situation of overarching violence in the North and surge of a feeling of freedom, independence and discontentedness among the authorities which would lead to the 1910 Revolution.
